چکیده
One of the major drawbacks thermoplastic Fused Filament Fabrication process (FFF) is poor mechanical properties parts produced. This mostly related to macroporosities resulting from a limited coalescence between filaments. Coalescence ruled by viscosity and surface tension polymer. Thus, an accurate characterization these two required model optimize during filament deposition cooling. In this work, procedure over large temperature range (25–380 °C) presented applied PolyEtherKetoneKetone (PEKK) material. Additionally, Newtonian characterized with rheometry. The then simulated coupling existing semi-analytical previously 2D heat transfer finite element simulation model. results show importance dependent implementation tension. parametric study provides industrial understanding FFF process.

Le : The printer is equipped with an o -the-shelf nozzle that inputs multiple filaments (three in the picture) and outputs molten mixed plastic through a single exit hole. Such devices cannot directly be used to print gradients: the transition between mixtures takes time, and this timing v...

Glass is a critical material for many scientific and engineering applications including optics, communications, electronics, and hermetic seals. Despite this technological relevance, there has been minimal research toward Additive Manufacturing (AM) of glass, particularly optically transparent glass. Additive Manufacturing of transparent glass offers potential advantages for lower processing co...
متن کاملSimple and Versatile 3D Printed Microfluidics Using Fused Filament Fabrication.
The uptake of microfluidics by the wider scientific community has been limited by the fabrication barrier created by the skills and equipment required for the production of traditional microfluidic devices. Here we present simple 3D printed microfluidic devices using an inexpensive and readily accessible printer with commercially available printer materials. We demonstrate that previously repor...
متن کاملA scalable fabrication process of polymer microneedles
While polymer microneedles may easily be fabricated by casting a solution in a mold, either centrifugation or vacuumizing is needed to pull the viscous polymer solution into the microholes of the mold. We report a novel process to fabricate polymer microneedles with a one-sided vacuum using a ceramic mold that is breathable but water impermeable. A polymer solution containing polyvinyl alcohol ...

Three-dimensional printing/additive manufacturing (3DP/AM) for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine (TE/RM) applications is a multifaceted research area encompassing biology, material science, engineering, and the clinical sciences. Although being quite mature as a research area, only a handful of clinical cases have been reported and even fewer commercial products have made it to the m...
